Controllers are the part of a sprinkler system that determines when sprinklers come on and for how long. This is an integral part of the sprinkler system. We install a variety of Irritrol indoor and outdoor controllers to meet your irrigation needs. Irritrol 6, 9 and 12 stations allow for maximum scheduling flexibility in an easy-to-use format that makes this innovative controller ideal for a wide range of sophisticated watering requirements.
Drip lines are feeder lines from the sprinkler system to individual plants. Drip lines are ideal for ground cover, mixed plantings, slope plantings and hedge rows and are useful in difficult and hard-to-reach areas. Brothers can install or repair drip lines on existing sprinkler systems to suit your needs.
Lawn sprinkler systems include two types of sprinkler heads: Spray heads and Rotary heads (Rotors). Brothers Plumbing & Heating can replace or install either type to fit your needs.
Rotors (Rotary Sprinklers) operate by rotating a stream of water over the landscape instead of the mist produced by spray head sprinklers. This allows rotors to be placed farther distances than spray head sprinklers. Rotors are designed to rotate in full or partial circles and generally do not perform with a throw radius of less than 15 feet.
Spray sprinklers are adjustable up to 360 Degree to determine exactly what pattern and radius (distance) fits your specific needs. Spray sprinklers are excellent for smaller, odd shaped areas.
We can locate and repair leaks in the sprinkler system lines. With proper winterizations, all repairs carry a 2 year parts and labor guarantee.
Sprinkler rainfall sensors help controllers shut off based on rain fall. Sensors help prevent costly and harmful over watering during unnecessary times or unfavorable conditions. We offer rainfall sensor installation and this product qualifies as one of our GREEN SCREENED products that help conserve water.
Brothers offers Discounted Spring Sprinkler Start Up Specials. Allow us to have a professional, trained technician come out to start up your system and run it through all the zones to verify proper operation. If repairs are needed, we are prepared with a fully stocked truck to address any situation immediately.
The vacuum breaker is the fixture located outside of the house between the water shut off and sprinkler control box. Older vacuum breakers somewhat resemble a bell. Not sure what it looks like? Click Here.
Vacuum Breakers prevent contaminated water from being siphoned from outside sources into the drinking water distribution system. In short, they help keep your drinking water clean.
• Why are they important?
Whenever there is a loss of pressure in the water system, water is siphoned through any open faucet or operating sprinkler system into the water system. If the hose happened to contain contaminated water (I.e. lying in a water puddle, hooked to automatic waterer, etc.) the contaminated water could possibly be siphoned back into the water system and delivered to another customer. In short these devices help keep your water safe and free from contamination.
• What if I don't install a Vacuum Breaker?
New state regulations prohibit a water utility from providing new service, or change in service,
to any business or residence without a vacuum breaker installed on all outdoor faucets and sprinkler systems. In short, no vacuum breakers - no water!
Brothers Plumbing & Heating can professionally repair, replace or install a vacuum breaker or backflow preventer for your sprinkler system.
Valve boxes provide protection from damage (children, animals, vandals, etc.), allow for easy access for maintenance and repairs and hide unsightly irrigation components from sight.
Valves connect and help control the water flow to the sprinkler heads in each individual zone. We offer replacement of the valves and have them in several sizes and configurations.
In Colorado's freezing climate it is advisable to "winterize" the sprinkler system in order to avoid damage. Special attention should be given to removing water from the pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads, before freezing occurs. Brothers Plumbing & Heating offers Discounted Winterization Specials starting in October through mid November to guarantee your system won't freeze and to prevent costly repairs in the spring.
