At Brothers Plumbing, Heating and Electric, our mission has always been bigger than the work we do inside a home. We Care. Those two words show up in everything we do, how we treat our team, how we show up for our clients, and how we invest in the community that has welcomed us into its homes for decades.
Through our Brothers Gives Back program, we look for organizations doing the kind of work that lines up with what we believe: that strong communities are built one neighbor, one family, one young person at a time. This month, we’re proud to support an organization whose work is as urgent as it is life-changing; the Second Wind Fund.
Who Is Second Wind Fund?
Second Wind Fund is a Colorado-based nonprofit on a mission to decrease the incidence of suicide in children and youth by removing the financial and social barriers to treatment. Founded in 2002 after the loss of four teens from a single Jefferson County high school within nine months, Second Wind Fund was built by a community that decided youth suicide could no longer be tolerated.
More than two decades later, that community-driven mission has connected over 10,000 young Coloradans to life-saving mental health care and covered the cost of more than 70,000 therapy sessions. Every provider in their network is committed to seeing a young person within seven days, because when a kid is in crisis, waiting isn’t an option.

How You Can Get Involved
Second Wind Fund’s work is fueled by Coloradans who refuse to look away. If you’d like to stand alongside Brothers in supporting their mission, here are a few ways to get involved:
