What started in 2008 as a small grassroots effort operating out of a garage has grown into one of Colorado’s most impactful nonprofits. A Precious Child, based in Broomfield, now serves over 50,000 children and 14,000 caregivers annually across eight Denver Metro counties, providing families in need with access to life’s most basic necessities and building pathways from cradle to career.

Through their cost-free store, Satellite Resource Centers, and Community Distributions, A Precious Child provides children and families with clothing, hygiene items, food, diapers, school supplies, holiday gifts, and more. Their programs also offer access to sports, arts, education, and workforce readiness, all delivered with dignity so families feel empowered, not just supported. With the help of over 7,000 volunteers and 300 agency partners, they are building a thriving community for all.
This school year, with contributions from Brothers and others in our community, A Precious Child supplied 11,600 backpacks to children across the Denver Metro. That is 11,600 kids walking into school with the supplies they need to succeed.
Their mission to empower children to achieve their full potential aligns directly with ours: to develop lasting relationships where everyone wins and show our team members, clients, and community that WE CARE.
As part of the Brothers Gives Back program, each recipient also receives a copy of The Butterfly Effect by Andy Andrews. As Mr. Andrews writes, “Everything you do matters to all of us forever.” We believe that what A Precious Child does matters, and we are proud to contribute to their mission.
The Brothers Gives Back program is our way of putting Family, Care, and Excellence into action beyond the job site. Every month, a local nonprofit is nominated by our team members, clients, or community, and selected to receive a donation and recognition through the program.
