Some names become a promise. For the families behind the Marystrong Foundation, Mary’s name is a reminder that love outlasts loss, and that no family should face pediatric brain cancer alone.
Brothers Plumbing, Heating & Electric is honored to recognize the Marystrong Foundation as our October Brothers Gives Back recipient.
Based in Northglenn, Colorado, the Marystrong Foundation was created in honor of Mary, a courageous young girl who fought DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma), a rare and aggressive childhood brain cancer. Today the Foundation carries her legacy forward by funding DIPG research in Colorado, sending care packages to newly diagnosed children, and providing emotional and financial support to grieving families. They host remembrance events that bring families together, and they encourage the next generation of veterinarians through scholarships and educational outreach.
Hope, healing, and heart for families when they need it most. That kind of compassion aligns directly with our own mission: to develop lasting relationships where everyone wins and show our team members, clients, and community that WE CARE.
As part of the Brothers Gives Back program, each recipient also receives a copy of The Butterfly Effect by Andy Andrews. As Mr. Andrews writes, “Everything you do matters to all of us forever.” Mary’s story is proof. One brave girl’s life continues to ripple outward through research, comfort, and community, reaching families all across Colorado.
The Brothers Gives Back program is our way of putting Family, Care, and Excellence into action beyond the job site. Every month, a local nonprofit is nominated by our team members, clients, or community and selected to receive a donation and recognition through the program.
